In the dojo of Ebook Ninjas

ebook ninjas logoListen closely, and you can detect a hint of laughter during the opening of this eBook Ninjas podcast, with "Guest Ninja" D.C. Denison.

That's because we're winging it.

Lead Ninja, Joshua Tallent, was on a client call until just a few minutes before air time. As soon as he hung up, we were off and running, with just the barest of preparation.

"Just say your name after we say ours," Joshua told me. That was about it. 

And we were launched, the Ninjas clearly amused that we were off the ground. 

The Ninjas, who all work at Ebook Architects, can pull this off.

It started with Mashable's list of 15 Twitter Users Shaping the Future of Publishing, one of many Mashable lists that tap into a Twitter strength: the ability to create a focused feed on a specific subject. The feature included a link to a customized TweepML group that bundled the gang of 15 into a list that could be managed and shared. Then Hugh McQuire, one of Mashable's 15, added his list of 15 (More) Twitter Users Shaping the Future of Publishing. And Guy LeCharles Gonzal, another member of the Mashable 15, collected McQuire's list into a an additional TweepML group. Together the two collections make one epic torrent of future publishing information. Highly recommended.
